Commercial Kitchen Exhaust Hood Cleaning

NFPA Kitchen Hood Cleaning Requirements To Improve Fire Safety

The National Fire Protection Association’s NFPA 96 (NFPA Kitchen Hood Cleaning Requirements) requires trained and certified personnel to clean restaurant kitchen hoods and exhausts on a regular basis (NFPA 96-11.4). Their mandated cleaning schedule is as follows:

Systems serving solid fuel cooking operations: Monthly Systems serving high-volume cooking operations such as 24-hour cooking, charbroiling, or wok cooking: Quarterly Systems serving moderate-volume cooking operations: Semiannually Systems serving low-volume cooking operations, such as churches, day camps, seasonal businesses, or senior centers: Annually The entire exhaust system includes the hood, filters, fan and all associated horizontal and vertical ductwork.

A detailed (JSR) Job Service Report is left onsite at the completion of each project, highlighting all that was done, along with any recommendations. Each Hood / Access Panel will receive updated certification sticker stating last service date and next due. All systems are turned back on for service, floors mopped on the way out.

Power Cleaning

Power cleaning is the use of high pressure water that has the addition of heat. (oftentimes combined with specialized cleaning agents) Hot water pressure washers are designed to cut through oil and grease caked on many surfaces. It breaks down the bonds that exist on a molecular level in oil and grease and can rid surfaces of bacteria, algae, and other things more effectively due to the heat they distribute. Examples would be Commercial Kitchen Exhaust Hood Cleaning, Commercial / Residential Garage or shop floors, Store front entry ways, Corral / Dumpster Pads, Gum Removal, Auto/ Truck Fleets, Municipality Equipment Gas Station Islands.

Softwashing

Softwashing is the use of a lower pressure, Higher volume machine (Normally gas or air operated) in conjunction with the right mix of cleaning agents to remove algae, moss, organic staining and other dirt and debris. Thus giving the operator the ability to clean more sensitive surfaces, that pressure washing would cause damage. Examples would be Vinyl / Aluminum siding (Brightening of gutters, downspouts, soffits and fascia, window trims) Roof Cleaning (Slate, Asphalt Shingle & Rubber Roofing), Wood Cleaning and restoration (Teak wood, Decks, stairs, Fencing) and a wide variety of other substrates.

Hydro Jetting

Hydro jetting is the process of clearing clogs and debris buildup on pipe walls throughout the plumbing system, by sending high-pressured water jets through the pipes. This intense cleaning helps prevent the likelihood of future clogs and backups as the water scours the pipe walls to remove grease, food particles, mineral scale, debris and in some cases, tree roots. Hydro Jetting is also successful in clearing of downspouts clogged by tree leaves / needles, nests.
